How does DHI hair transplant work?
Hair transplantation with the DHI technique is performed under local anesthesia, with or without shaving. For the extraction of the grafts from the donor area, we firstly start with the FUE technique. Depending on the thickness of the grafts, the CHOI pen changes. The Second step is to insert the grafts carefully into the CHOI pen. The next step which is the last one is to open the channels and implant the grafts in one movement.
In a DHI hair transplant 2 different Choi pens are used. An average of 10-12 different Choi tips are used. Tips and pens with different diameters are selected individually according to the thickness of the grafts.
Different types of hair loss can be treated with the DHI technique. For example: regional hair loss, reduction of the forhead or for more density.
