Body Hair Transplant (BHT), or BHHT, is a specialized application of the FUE technique designed for patients with limited scalp donor capacity. A specially developed technique
BHT (Body Hair Transplant) is performed with the FUE method, only with a small differences. Usally the donation Area would be the back side of the head, in some cases it is not possible to extract grafts from the back of the head. The BHT technique allowes us the change the Donation area to any part of the body. But there are a few important factors that need to be considered to see the compatibility of body hair and recipient area.
Since the donor area can be any part of the body like beard, the chest, the back, the stomach area, the legs, and the arms. The thickness, direction, and curl of this hair is vary considerably. This transplanted hair usually doesn’t gain a length of more than 5 cm, thus the hair has to keep trimmed accordingly after the transplant.
